With the Gunners currently sitting in fourth place harbouring aspirations of claiming the Premier League title, they will be looking to give the future crop of title-chasers a chance to go out on loan to gain some valuable first-team football.

Back in the summer, many Arsenal youngsters swapped the top flight for England's second division as Isaac Hayden and Chuba Akpom linked up, with Steve Bruce's Hull City and Wellington Silva joined Bolton Wanderers.

Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez also made the drop to join Wolves on loan along with 18-year-old winger Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who joined Ipswich for the rest of the season and Spaniard Jon Toral, who has scored six times in 24 appearances for Birmingham City.

Loan spells to the Championship have proved dividends for some Arsenal players. Francis Coquelin only spent five games on loan at Charlton before being recalled by Arsene Wenger due to an injury to Aaron Ramsey.

Within just three weeks of being recalled, Coquelin started in a Premier League game against West Ham and went on to enjoy a successful season with the Gunners - culminating in him playing the full 90 minutes of their FA Cup triumph over Aston Villa.

With Yaya Sanogo the latest player to switch to the Championship after joining Charlton on loan on deadline day, FLW takes a look at THREE Arsenal players who would benefit from a loan move to one of the teams in the Championship.......

Serge Gnabry

The 20-year-old midfielder was reportedly set to follow Yaya Sanogo across London to join Charlton on loan, however in the end no move materialised.

The German spent the first half of the season on loan at Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, but only made 3 appearances under Tony Pulis.

Wenger is keen for the youngster to follow in the footsteps of Coquelin and join a Championship side for one or two months with the hope of coming back as a stronger player.

Charlton are still reportedly interested in signing the winger, along with Brighton and Fulham, and there's no denying that Gnabry would learn a lot from being at any of these three clubs.

With the loan market open until 24th March there's still plenty of time for a loan deal to be agreed and I wouldn't be surprised if a move for the talented midfielder happened sooner rather than later.

He is a player that Wenger seems to hold in very high regard and at 20 years old he still has a lot of potential which could be unearthed during a spell at a Championship club.

Alex Iwobi

The versatile Nigerian who can play as a winger or a striker, joined Arsenal in 2004 as a schoolboy and signed with the club professionally in October 2015.

The nephew of Bolton favourite Jay-Jay Okocha, Iwobi has so far made 8 appearances for the Gunners, including 4 league games against Southampton, Swansea, Stoke and Bournemouth.

However he is unlikely to break into the first-team for the remainder of the season and isn't a player that would be a guaranteed a spot on the bench, so a loan move to the Championship would be ideal for the youngster.

He was linked with a loan move to Reading in the January transfer window as a replacement for top-scorer Nick Blackman, however nothing came to fruition.

Like Gnabry, Wenger holds the 19-year-old in high regard, and was impressed with his performance in the FA Cup win against Burnley.

Surely therefore it would be wise to let the Nigerian international leave on loan for the rest of the season. With his talented flair, he would undoubtedly be an asset to any Championship team, and a successful loan spell could improve his chances of breaking into Wenger's first team next season.

Jeff Reine-Adélaïde

Jeff Reine-Adelaide

Unlike my previous two picks, Reine-Adélaïde has yet to be involved in a Premier League game for the Gunners and has only played 10 minutes of football for Arsenal in the FA Cup win over Sunderland.

However he is someone with raw potential and one that could benefit from being on loan at one of the Championship's bottom-half teams.

Described as a "great talent" by Arsene Wenger, the 18-year-old first came to prominence in pre-season as a string of impressive performances in the Emirates Cup brought him firmly into the limelight.

In a match of the man performance against Wolfsburg, the youngster was able to thread the ball through to Theo Walcott who scored the only goal of the game.

I understand of course that performances in pre-season can sometimes be misleading, however against strong opposition, the Frenchman put in a solid display and is definitely one to watch for the future.

Time away from North London, might help to improve Reine-Adélaïde as a player and the tough nature of the Championship will undoubtedly be a valuable experience for him.

I wouldn't expect him to be involved in every game but you never know, if he's got the drive and determination to enhance his attributes, he could rise up to the challenge and play a key part in the rest of a team's campaign.

Do you agree with the Arsenal player that I have chosen? Would you like to see one of these youngsters join your club on loan?
