Kemar Roofe has been in excellent form for Leeds United so far this season, with the forward thriving under the management of Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds have struggled to replace Chris Wood since his departure in the summer of 2017, but Bielsa’s faith in Roofe as a no.9 has been repaid, with the 25-year-old spearheading Leeds’ promotion push so far this season.

After a prolific August saw Roofe score four goals and register two assists, injuries kept the forward sidelines for five weeks.

However, he’s made his return to action in October, scoring two goals in his last two appearances.

Earlier in the month, a host of Premier League clubs were linked with a move for Roofe, with Burnley, Southampton and Brighton all credited with an interest.

Things have gone quiet as the month has gone on, but should any deal edge closer, Leeds and Victor Orta must have a list of alternatives lined up.

Here at FLW, we identify THREE Leeds should look at if Roofe looks like he’s on his way…

Maja is 19 and it would be asking a lot for him to step up and replace Roofe.

However, he’s scored nine goals in League One so far this season for Sunderland and shown his class.

If Leeds can help the youngster maintain his League One form in the Championship, he’d be a great addition.

Bonatini is very much on the fringe at Wolves following their promotion to the Premier League.

The Brazilian made a fast start to life in England last year, netting 12 goals during the first-half of the season.

His form dipped after Christmas, but if Leeds could get the striker to his best he’d be a great option at Elland Road.

If Roofe was to depart, Leeds would get a good fee, which could be reinvested in a player like Maupay.

Brentford always seem willing to sell if the price is right and that won’t be any different with their 22-year-old striker.

Maupay has 11 goals to his name this season and is proving to be lethal in the Championship.

He'd be a real marquee signing.
