We see it every year - players that just don't make the cut in the Premier League.

Whether they're youngsters, old heads or just players that aren't going to make the grade in that particular season its always difficult to force your way into a competitive Premier League squad.

And with the transfer still open for a couple of weeks yet, we are expecting a few players to drop down a level as they attempt to get their careers back on track, or even to just gain some first-team experience going forward.

And one team that looks set to continue prowling for new names is Nottingham Forest, who have had a busy summer under new manager Philippe Montanier.

They got their season of to a flyer against Burton Albion last weekend but their French manager will hope he can tempt a couple more names to move to the City Ground this summer.

So with that in mind, here's THREE Premier League players that should join the Reds this summer....

Frazier Campbell

Frazier Campbell definitely qualifies as a player who needs to come down a division in order to get his career back on track.

The striker, who started out with Manchester United, has struggled for game time under Alan Pardew in recent months, making only 15 appearances, scoring twice last season.

This form suggests a loan move to Forest could be the best solution for his career going forward - where he will help the Reds but also revive his own fortunes too.

Marc Pugh

This would be a real coup if Forest could pull it off.

Marc Pugh, a veteran Bournemouth winger may struggle for first-team action this season due to the Cherries' new found spending power, and with Jordan Ibe coming in, he may be forced to look elsewhere for first-team action.

He's a pacy, hard-working winger who gets goals and has excelled at this level before. A real no brainer, if Montanier can bring him in.

Peter Crouch

So what you want about our robot-loving Englishman, he'd be a fantastic option for any side at this level. He's had a lengthy career but could only make 18 appearances for Stoke City last season, suggesting his top-flight career might be up.

But as we said, a move to Forest could bring back the years and help both parties out.
