Despite Leeds United’s fast start to the Sky Bet Championship season there is still the feeling that Marcelo Bielsa needs to be strengthening his playing squad in the coming weeks.

Over the course of the summer, a number of Leeds’ first-team players departed, leaving Bielsa with a trimmed squad heading into the new season.

Leeds brought in just five players, with Patrick Bamford and Barry Douglas the club’s only permanent additions.

Now, the window for permanent transfers is closed, but Leeds have just under two weeks to still add loan players to their playing squad.

We’ve not seen much movement from Leeds in the last few weeks, but the feeling is that Bielsa will look to strengthen before the month is up.

Here at FLW, we take a look at THREE Premier League players who we believe would be good additions to Bielsa’s playing squad…

Leeds are yet to add another centre-back to their squad this summer, with that area of Bielsa’s squad looking thin at this stage.

Foyth would represent a good addition, with the Tottenham centre-back someone that would suit Bielsa’s style.

Of course, he wouldn’t be guaranteed games, but he’d bring some depth.

Besic is a midfielder who would bring so much to Bielsa’s squad.

The Everton man impressed last season whilst on loan with Middlesbrough, and he could be really important to Leeds, should they make a move.

It might be an expensive loan to complete, but it would be a good one.

Diaz is a really exciting talent, who looks like he will have future under Pep Guardiola at Man City.

However, he is on the fringe of Guardiola’s squad and could benefit from a spell under Bielsa.

The addition of the 19-year-old would add some depth to Leeds’ options going forward.
