Leeds United succumbed to back-to-back defeats for the first time this season, after a bitterly disappointing 4-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest on New Year's Day.

Marcelo Bielsa's men were looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Hull City last weekend, a result that ended Leeds' impressive seven-game winning run.

But after going 2-1 up despite having ten men, through goals from Jack Clarke and Ezgjan Alioski, Forest fought back, through goals from Jack Colback, Daryl Murphy and Ben Osborn.

Leeds shot-stopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, once again, came under major criticism after his display at the City Ground - the 22-year old looked shaky and nervy in between the sticks, with many saying that he could have done better for Murphy's goal.

Here, we take a look at three Bailey Peacock-Farrell replacements Leeds must consider after his performance against the Reds...

Darlow will be a player that Leeds fans will be praying they sign in January.

He has been linked with a move to Elland Road since the start of December, after falling out of favour behind Martin Dubravka at Newcastle United.

Having played such an integral role in their promotion season in 2016/17, he'll be desperate for some regular game-time and would be a sensational signing for Leeds.

Forster is another player who has fallen out of favour at his current club Southampton.

The 30-year old has failed to make an appearance for the Saints this season and is third choice to Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy.

Having played in the Champions League for Celtic and featured for England on more than one occasion, Forster possesses real experience, and commands his box magnificently well, standing at 6-foot-7.

Finally, Tom Heaton is a player who could be on his way out of Burnley in January.

The 32-year old has featured just four times for Sean Dyche's men this season, having fallen behind Joe Hart and Nick Pope in the pecking order at Turf Moor.

At 32 years of age, Heaton is the oldest out of the trio, but would bring real experience and quality in between the sticks at Elland Road, and he could be a perfect mentor for Peacock-Farrell too.
