Oxford United were on a strong run of form in the weeks prior to the suspension of EFL matches, with Karl Robinson's side winning their last five fixtures in a row.

Their run of form has seen the Us move into third in the League One table and to within two points of the automatic places, but they remain just one point clear of Sunderland in seventh.

As per an update today EFL football has been suspended until April 30 at the earliest, with Sam Wallace of the Telegraph stating that the FA and EFL are committed to completing the current season.

Here, we look at three Oxford players ready to hit top form once the season recommences.

Robert Dickie

Dickie has had an excellent season so far with Oxford, making 34 appearances at centre-back and providing four assists.

Aged 24, he has shown remarkable consistency and there is no need to doubt that will continue when football returns.

The Us certainly have room to improve defensively on their rivals, with Robinson's side boasting just the seventh best defence in the league, and if they are to do so Dickie's form will be vital.

Marcus Browne

Browne has had an impressive impact since his arrival on loan from Middlesbrough in January, scoring four goals and providing four assists from his 11 appearances so far.

With the restart of the season yet to be determined there is still some doubt as to whether he will stay on to complete the season at the Kassam Stadium, but Oxford will undoubtedly want to keep him.

With Fosu-Henry departing in January, Browne has brought some added flair and will prove vital if Oxford are to earn promotion.

Cameron Brannagan

Now in his third season at Oxford, the Liverpool academy graduate is growing in influence.

With five goals and seven assists from 30 appearances, his end product is improving all the time and at 23 years old he will want to test himself in the Championship.

If he is to do that with Oxford he will need to help guide them to promotion and based on what he produced earlier this term, expect his role to become even more important.
