Robert Tesche looks like he may depart Nottingham Forest in the summer when his two-year contract comes to a close, with Birmingham City reportedly very keen on the player.

The German midfielder is among the club’s highest earning players and with the managerial situation at the club uncertain, he could move onto pastures new.

It is unlikely that the ex-Hamburg player will be the last to leave Forest during pre-season as any new boss will no doubt wish to reshape his squad accordingly.

The Reds’ squad is not short of quality when every player is fit but it does need tweaks and after battling a transfer embargo, the club will want to balance the books before players come into the City Ground.

Football League World writer Lee Clarke takes a look at THREE other members of the current Nottingham Forest squad, who could join Robert Tesche in departing Nottingham this summer......

Henri Lansbury

I must start by saying that it would be a sad day as a supporter of Nottingham Forest should the news be announced that Lansbury has departed.

Lansbury is ambitious however with a firm desire to play in the Premier League and given everything that is happening off the pitch at Forest it would hardly be surprising to see him leave this summer.

The ex-Arsenal man still has a lot to offer the Reds, particularly if he is played in his most natural position and it would be great to see him stay with the club.

Burnley’s promotion however has made for an anxious couple of months for Forest fans, with the Clarets very keen on Lansbury having had a failed bid last summer.

Jack Hobbs

The central defender seems to have been around forever and it may come as a surprise that the Forest man is still only 27-years-old.

Since arriving at the City Ground on a permanent deal in 2014, Hobbs has struggled to shake off a series of niggling injuries and the new boss could choose to offload him.

At a time when Forest have struggled with injuries and suspensions, Hobbs would have been perfect to throw into the mix this season, although a requirement for an operation on his back has extinguished those chances.

Forest are blessed with some good youngsters coming through the ranks at the heart of defence and Hobbs could be moved on to allow those to flourish.

Danny Fox

I will no doubt get slated for saying that Fox has done alright since he was recalled to the side following an injury crisis in central defence, but he has!

The ex-Southampton man is not a natural central defender by any stretch of the imagination but he has done a job for the team during a difficult period.

His return to the side might not have done much good for his future as a Nottingham Forest player, but it could have been sufficient to make other clubs look towards securing his services for next season.

The 29-year-old is at an age where he needs to be playing regular first-team football and the chances of him doing that at Forest look slim, certainly when everyone else it fully fit.

Nottingham Forest fans, do you agree that these three players could leave in the summer? Would you like to see them leave? Who else should be moved on? Let us know below!
