It was a disappointing season for Norwich, who were relegated from the Premier League with a whimper with fans criticising the owners for not investing enough in the first team.

Their main problem was scoring goals only managing 39 all season with a lack of investment in forwards.

Cameron Jerome did not seem up to Premier League standard, Patrick Bamford's loan move flopped and loan star Dieumerci Mbokani finishing top scorer with only seven goals.

There top performers last season were Jonny Howson and exciting young winger Nathan Redmond, who is attracting plenty of Premier League interest with his pace and sweet striking ability highly sought after.

Norwich fans are still keen on Alex Neil being in charge and are confident of an immediate return to the Premier League if they keep hold of their best players.

Here are THREE Norwich players to watch out for next season.......

Jacob Murphy

One of the many young stars coming through at Carrow Road is Jacob Murphy along with players like Carlton Morris.

He has masses of experience in the lower leagues for someone at just 21 years old, he has had loan spells at Swindon, Southend, Colchester and Coventry in League 1 and Blackpool in the Championship where he scored twice in 9 games.

Last season he impressed for Coventry with 9 goals in 40 games and is also a big star for the England U20 side.

He is very highly rated at Carrow Road and with Redmond leaving a place in the starting eleven is up for grabs.

Wes Hoolahan

If he doesn't leave for a Premier League club then the 34-year-old Irishman will be a handful in the Championship next season.

In 2015 he was selected in the Football League Team of the Decade and in the season Norwich won promotion, he was seen as their catalyst for every attack with his pace and skill troublesome for every defender.

A seasoned international for the Republic of Ireland, he has racked up 30 appearances for them and scored a lovely goal against Sweden in Euro 2016.

He was one of their best players this season with 4 goals and clever attacking play and can provide that spark for Norwich next season when they need it.

Jonny Howson

Perhaps their best Player of the Season last year was Jonny Howson with the 28-year-old scoring 3 goals and getting numerous assists.

He has a good strike on him and a good range of passing and was one of the star players when Norwich won promotion from the Championship.

Howson won Player of the Season this year and may get a Premier League move, but if not his role is crucial as the midfielder that gets things going for them.
