Norwich City were relegated from the Premier League this season, just 12 months after their play-off final victory over Middlesbrough that sent them there.

They played some good football and were good to watch for the majority of the season, but when it mattered they didn't turn up.

Five defeats in their last six left them doomed, and it seemed impossible for them to beat the drop after their 3-0 defeat to relegation rivals Sunderland.

Alex Neil is likely to stay in charge at Carrow Road next season, and will add new players to the squad to help them get straight back out of the division.

However, they do have plenty of stars at the minute, with Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan two who narrowly miss out on this list.

The following players could make a massive impact on Norwich's season, and potentially help them gain promotion. So here are THREE Norwich City players that are worth their weight in gold....

Nathan Redmond

Seen by many as Norwich's star man, Redmond has been out of favour with Alex Neil, making 24 starts, whilst another 11 have come from the bench.

He has six goals and three assists this season, making him their second highest scorer.

He has operated mainly from the right this season, and can feel aggrieved as to why he hasn't played more often this season.

The 22-year old has 25 England Under-21 caps, and could well be a future England star one day.

Timm Klose

Despite only signing in January, Klose has looked assured and confident, impressing many in his 10 games for the East Anglian club.

His season peaked with three man of the match performances on the bounce in the defeat to Swansea, draw with Manchester City and win over West Brom, and then a goal in the very next match in the 3-2 victory over relegation rivals Newcastle in early April.

But the Carrow Road faithful was left gutted after he suffered a knee injury in the next game away at Crystal Palace, missing the rest of the season.

He has been left out of the 28-man provisional squad for Switzerland's Euro 2016 campaign, meaning he will have the whole of the summer to make sure he is fit. He will, if the Canaries get promotion, be key.

Jonny Howson

howson

The 27-year old has featured in 36 of Norwich's 38 Premier League games this season, with three goals and four assists to his name.

However, his real contribution has come in his general play, knitting the Norwich midfield together with his excellent passing and his ability to screen in front of the defence.

He was one that had a good season, and ended the season well, the highlight of which was two assists in the 3-2 win over Newcastle.

He will be a crucial player in the Championship next season, and his form could well decide whether the club goes up or stays in the second tier.
