QPR are firmly sitting in mid-table this Christmas, with the R's solidifying after a really difficult start to the season.

A run of poor results in August led to plenty of calls for Steve McClaren to be axed, but the former England boss has turned things around and, in all honesty, relegation doesn't feel like it'll be a possibility.

McClaren's recruitment has been good since the start of the season and he has a system that suits his playing squad.

Of course, heading into 2019, he will be looking for more improvements, with a play-off push not totally out of the question just yet, such is the tight nature of the Championship.

So, what New Years resolutions will Steve McClaren have heading into 2019?

Find out here....

For all of the good form shown by Steve McClaren's side at Loftus Road this season, their away form is letting them down in parts this season.

If the Hoops are to mount any sort of challenge for the play-off places, they will need to improve their away form as quickly as possible.

Not even the most optimistic of QPR supporters could made predicted how well the club would be doing heading into 2019.

After being serious relegation candidates in the early stages of this season, their turnaround has been remarkable to say the least.

But, with the recent upturn in results, there now comes a weight of expectation from the supporters, many of whom will expect QPR to produce positive results on a regular basis for the remainder of the season.

Massimo Luongo was called up to the Australia squad for their Asia Cup campaign in the New Year.

If his national side are to progress to the final of the competition then the midfielder could miss up to seven league games for QPR, which will be hugely frustrating news.

McClaren will have to potentially dip into the loan market to find a short-term replacement for their talisman, who has been a regular in the starting XI.
