If you're a League One side looking to the National League for players, you're pretty much ensured the pick of the crop.

Anyone playing in the National League, be it for a relatively big club like Leyton Orient or one of the teams with 'new money' such as Salford, the chance to play in League One cannot be passed up.

There's plenty of players in that division that wouldn't move to League Two, after all the top few might harbour hopes of being there themselves sooner rather than later.

However, if a top side like Barnsley came in for a player in the fifth tier, only a truly unambitious player would turn that move down.

Rooney is a class footballer, without a doubt someone who should not be playing for a non-league team.

The sort of money he is on would frighten most sides in the basement division, but Barnsley might be able to tempt him away from Salford City.

He's 30 though, so he's not one for the future.

Bonne is one for the future, he's been attracting interest from the Championship, but realistically, a League One move would suit him more.

He's played lots of football at that level already and has now grown in confidence and ability.

The Championship is a step too far now, but six months in League One and who knows?

Lloyd should never have left Peterborough. Why he chose to drop back out of the EFL with Salford we'll never know, not after working so hard at Stockport to get his chance.

He's such a talented player, quick and good on the ball. He should be showcasing his talent in League One.

He would fit nicely in the Barnsley setup too, providing width from the flank.
