If you’re a League One side looking to the National League for players, you’re pretty much ensured the pick of the crop.
Anyone playing in the National League, be it for a relatively big club like Leyton Orient or one of the teams with ‘new money’ such as Salford, the chance to play in League One cannot be passed up.
There’s plenty of players in that division that wouldn’t move to League Two, after all the top few might harbour hopes of being there themselves sooner rather than later.
However, if a top side like Barnsley came in for a player in the fifth tier, only a truly unambitious player would turn that move down.
