QPR have had a turbulent season thus far but it looks like things are finally starting to settle down at Loftus Road.

After the departure of Chris Ramsey last year new manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has overseen a mini recovery, which has led them to 13th and possibly in a position to make a run at the play-offs.

But the departure of Charlie Austin there star man in the final week of the transfer window has left them with few goalscorers in there side, which was made worst by Jay Emmanuel Thomas leaving on loan.

QPR will be grateful they were able to hang on to Matty Phillips who was a transfer target for Middlesbrough and West Brom in the winter transfer window, and is currently their top goalscorer.

QPR seem to of avoided repercussions so far after breaking FFP rules last season and a points deduction seems unlikely, so with some stability in the backroom they can focus on the league.

Austin and Phillips may of been the star players but there we look at the players that have gone unsung at QPR this season and deserve more praise.

Here are QPR's THREE most underrated players this season........

Sebastian Polter

The young German striker joined QPR in the summer from Bundesliga outfit Mainz, and is making quite the impression in his first season in England.

He has five goals in all competitions, making him joint top goalscorer at QPR but is going unnoticed by most neutrals.

The former Germany U21 is renowned for his pace and his strength against defenders, and his link up play with Austin was crucial, but now that Austin has left he may need to take on more goalscoring responsibility and start linking up with young starlet Conor Washington.

Tjaronn Chery

Another summer purchase, the Dutchman arrived from Groningen in the summer and has so far bagged fourt goals for his new club.

He has a call up to the senior Netherlands team and is renowned for his creativity and good link up play.

Cher doesn't seem to get as much first-team action as he would have liked, with the player known for pace and power and like Polter, and he will have to score more now that Austin has departed.

The Dutchman has also been excellent assisting this season and can play up front as well as attacking midfield.

Jay Emmanuel Thomas

JET

Clearly the management at QPR underrate JET as they thought it was wise to loan him out to the MK Dons for the rest of the season.

Despite the winger putting in a series of exciting performances and being the joint top scorer, he has been allowed to leave by Hasselbaink in a baffling decision.

Despite being one of there better players this season, he has been giving infrequent opportunities by Hasselbaink, despite Austin leaving and the loan deal makes little sense to fans.
