3 most underrated Ipswich Town players so far this season

Mick McCarthy’s tenure at Ipswich Town has seen the Suffolk club consolidate their place in the Sky Bet Championship, while also flirting with promotion in recent times.

Last season their Premier League dreams were shattered in heartbreaking fashion, falling at the penultimate hurdle with a play-off semi-final defeat to bitter rivals Norwich City.

And though they haven’t quite hit the same heights as last campaign thus far, they are still very much involved in the battle for the play-offs – they lie in eighth place, just three points behind Derby County in sixth.

While experienced captain Luke Chambers, tricky winger Ryan Fraser and top scorer Brett Pitman regularly receive acclaim for the Tractor Boys’ better performances, there are some members of the side who are sometimes overlooked and fail to get the credit they deserve.
