Leyton Orient's position in League Two would appear safe as they are sat comfortably in 17th spot with relegation not even seeming a possibility right now.

The O's have done well across the season considering the circumstances and manager Ross Embleton has been able to stabilise the club in the fourth division.

Embleton will be wanting to steer Leyton Orient further up the table however and see just where they are able to end up with just a couple of months left to go this campaign.

Here are three mistakes that Leyton Orient and Embleton can't afford to repeat during the season run-in...

Losing by the odd goal

Embleton's side may not have had the best season but they could have done worse considering it has been their first back in the Football League.

One thing that Leyton Orient have been prone to doing this season is losing by the odd goal in games that they should have got something from.

Out of their 14 losses in the league this season, seven of those have been by one goal and Embleton should be instructing his side to not switch off at the back for one moment if they want to move on up the table.

Not playing Sotiriou

Cyprian Ruel Sotiriou has been one of the bright lights for Leyton Orient this season and it is no coincidence that their form has picked up since he was introduced to the side.

The teenage striker made his first league appearance on Boxing Day and he made an immediate impact as he netted in the 3-1 defeat to Colchester United.

He has been on fire for the League Two side and has netted five goals in just eight league games this season after spending time out on loan with National League club Dover Athletic earlier on.

Not using Sterling

Embleton is yet to include Kaziah Sterling in a matchday squad since he arrived on loan from Tottenham last month.

The young winger has the ability to provide a spark from the bench if used as an impact substitute and he could be a good backup to Lee Angol.

In games over the last couple of weeks, Sterling could have been effective late on when trying to stretch teams and attack with purpose.

If Sterling isn't used enough, then it could upset the relationship between Leyton Orient and his parent club Tottenham.
