Millwall have had a successful start to life under Gary Rowett, and they've lost just once in eight games since he took over as manager.

The Lions will be hoping that they can keep this up and potentially wish for the play-off places in the next few months.

In January, there are some Millwall players who may look to leave the club due to playing time and experience for their future years.

Here are THREE Millwall youngsters who should ask for a loan exit in January...

James Brown

The 21-year-old has been a brilliant servant for the younger sides and has been tipped to go on and have a bright future for the Lions.

He was captain of the under-23s side for a number of years and has even spent loans at Carlisle, Livingston and Lincoln. He needs to take the next step in his career and then move forward with another loan that can earn him the appropriate experience to play for Millwall in the future.

Billy Mitchell

Mitchell has a strong-looking career ahead of him and he'll be hoping that he can continue that at Millwall in the future.

The midfielder has been a really good player for the youth sides and even made an appearance on the last day of the 2018-2019 season. He's made an appearance in the Carabao Cup this campaign and a loan to a lower league club would be perfect as it would help him develop into the player that Millwall know he can be.

Tyler Burey

The midfielder was on loan at Wimbledon last season, and he deserves the opportunity to have another spell with a different club that can help his development and add to his experience which would help him get a chance in the Millwall side.

Rowett will only pick players if they're ready but due to the Lions having a small squad, there's no reason why Burey can't get into the side in the future.
