After a positive start to the season, West Brom have faltered in recent weeks and head into the weekend's game against Leeds without a win in four.

That's clearly not good enough for a squad with Albion's ability and Darren Moore will be concerned with recent performances.

Despite the quality they possess, the manager will have identified clear weaknesses during this poor spell and he will look to bring in new recruits to solve those issues in January.

Birmingham Live have revealed that a central defender and central midfielder are a priority for the Baggies, and that would make sense as they've scored more than any other team in the Championship.

The midfield area is a particular concern for many fans and here we look at THREE players Moore should be considering ahead of the winter window...

Jake Livermore has been the best midfield player at Albion this season but he lacks quality on the ball, so Albion need to identify a technical player.

And, there are few better than Bannan in the league when it comes to his passing range.

With Sheffield Wednesday struggling, he may welcome the chance to join a side that can compete for promotion.

Another option is Northern Ireland international Davis who is out of favour at Southampton.

He has a great all-round game and is also sound on the ball. As well as that, he boasts a lot of experience which could be vital towards the end of the season.

Finally, Moore should be looking at Fulham's Johansen.

Like Bannan, the left-footer is a classy operator and can provide the front three with the service that they need.

The former Celtic man is struggling to play regularly at Craven Cottage and may welcome the chance to be a star man elsewhere.
