The pressure is building on Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Warburton after a disappointing run of form of late.

It was a tough time for the R's in the summer, after losing key players such as Eberechi Eze and Jordan Hugill.

The likes of Lyndon Dykes and Chris Willock have come in and replaced them, but Warburton's men have failed to hit the ground running.

Yesterday's defeat to Huddersfield Town was their third in their last three games, and after winning only one of their last six games, they have slipped to 18th in the league table.

Some fans have began to lose patience with Warburton, and here, we have come up with three replacements the club should start considering if he does lose his job...

Danny Cowley

Cowley was sacked by Huddersfield at the end of last season in a decision which many thought was an unfair one.

The 42-year-old kept the Terriers up from relegation despite their hopes of surviving the drop looking dead and buried.

But the club opted to go in a different direction, with Carlos Corberan coming in from Leeds and taking over.

Cowley knows how to motivate a group of players and build a successful side, having taken Lincoln from the National League to League One in the space of three years.

He has proved that he can do it in the Championship, too, so he could be a roaring success in West London.

David Wagner

Wagner is another manager who worked wonders at Huddersfield Town, and is looking for a fresh start after being sacked by Schalke.

His time at Schalke didn't go to plan whatsoever, and was sacked after winning only 12 out of 40 games in charge.

The German galvanised Huddersfield after going in when they in a relegation battle, and the following season, he led them to promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history.

He is a good character, and would be able to instill confidence into the dressing room if he were appointed.

Paul Cook

This could be a superb appointment.

Cook worked wonders at Wigan given their off-field issues last term, steering them well clear of the relegation zone before they entered administration and had points deducted.

His teams play good football, know how to win games in various ways at this level, and he can work under a tight budget.

Having won promotion with Chesterfield, Wigan and Portsmouth, he knows how to build a successful dressing room.
