Reading fans face a nervous wait to see who they will appoint as Paul Clement’s successor after he was dismissed on Thursday morning. 

Newly appointed Chief Executive, Nigel Howe, has a tough decision to make, and it could potentially define which direction their season heads in.

Reading are firmly in a relegation fight this season and whoever is appointed would have a tough job on their hands to reignite the fight in a group of players that are certainly underperforming at this moment in time.

The likes of Phil Parkinson, Slavisa Jokanovic, Vitor Pereira and Steve Bruce are reportedly the frontrunners to succeed Clement at the Madejski Stadium according to the Bolton News.

There have been a mixed reaction to the news of each managers rumoured arrival, but Reading supporters will be keen to see a new man in the dugout as quickly as possible, so that they can try and fire the Royals back up the Championship table.
