Only just over a week after the January transfer window closed, Football League clubs have another chance to add to their squad on a temporary basis as the emergency loan window opened on Tuesday.
For Dougie Freedman’s Nottingham Forest, the next six weeks or so is an opportunity to add some Premier League quality to their squad as they look to launch a sustained play-off push.
The East Midlands club are currently 10th in the Championship, eight points off a promotion place with a third of the season still to play.
The side have been in fantastic form of late in the league, and have a realistic chance of making a late dash for the top six in the division.
