Derby County are fifth in the Championship, with 51 points from 30 games.

Whilst that would normally seem good, they are currently on an abysmal run of form.

They are without a win since Boxing Day - that's seven games - which has seen them drop from second place. They are just three points ahead of Ipswich in seventh place.

This disastrous run of form has seen their head coach, Paul Clement, sacked just six months since his first game in charge of the Rams, a story that shook the football world.

The emergency loan window allows clubs to sign players for loans up to 93 days long - the lengthy options seeing those individuals remaining at their temporary employers until the end of the season.

It is an ideal period of time for clubs to bring in extra bodies and skill to their side, helping them climb up the table, avoid relegation or clinch that automatic promotion spot.

Here are THREE Manchester United players that Derby County should sign now that the emergency loan window is open.....

Paddy McNair

The 20-year old broke through into Louis van Gaal's first team last season, after impressing many whilst being drafted into the team due to an injury crisis.

The centre-back, who has also featured at right-back and has played for United's youth teams as a striker, has already amassed 23 Premier League appearances since his debut in September 2014, with seven of those coming this season.

The young man has already been capped five times for his national side, Northern Ireland, and is believed to feature prominently in Michael O'Neil's thoughts for their Euro 2016 campaign.

Whilst the current pairing of Richard Keogh and Jason Shackell have been a strong point in Derby's team this season, the former has taken a lot of criticism lately, especially after their 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Burnley. Behind those two, there is not much cover - Ryan Shotton went out on loan to Birmingham in January leaving the ageing Chris Baird their only other centre back.

McNair is a very competent defender, and a move to the iPro Stadium would see Derby's promotion chances boosted and the player himself could flourish during his time their. His versatility also adds to his value.

Will Keane

The brother of Burnley star Michael Keane, this youngster hit the headlines earlier in the week after scoring five in an Under-21 match for United, part of a 7-0 victory over their counterparts from Norwich.

The 23-year old, as you may have guessed from that top line, is a striker who has a natural eye for goal.

He made his one and only Premier League appearance thus far against Blackburn in the Premier League back in 2011, and has had many loan spells throughout the Football League; and most recently at Preston North End, from where he was recalled at the end of December 2015.

The England Under-21 international has frustrated many, as he has bags of talent but has not been able to prove it at the highest level thus far, although his recent five goal haul has put him at the forefront of everyone's minds once more.

Derby fans went into the January transfer window wanting another striker, and they got one. Nick Blackman moved to the iPro from Reading, but has been used primarily on the wing for the Rams.

Keane will bring desire, energy and plenty of skill with him, and will be a good signing which will help Derby recover from their recent poor run.

Andreas Pereira

Pereira has represented both Belgium and Brazil's youth sides, and has four first team appearances for van Gaal's men.

Tipped by many to be on their way to big things, Pereira perhaps hasn't broken into the first XI as much as he would like, primarily thanks to the form of Jesse Lingard, and van Gaal's unwillingness to play too many inexperienced players.

The 20-year old can play as a winger, and would bring another dimension to the Rams's play with his pace, skill and free kick ability. Whilst this is early on in his career - the youngster has never gone out on loan before - he is no doubt ready to be at promotion challenging club, and could be an important asset for Derby should they go after his loan signature.
