Manchester United are a club enduring a very difficult season with manager Louis van Gaal widely criticised for his leadership and poor team selection.

One of his widely criticised decisions was to loan out young striker James Wilson to Championship high flyers Brighton, despite United struggling for goals this season.

But at least Van Gaal has given youngsters a chance this season with Lingard, Pereira and Martial all starring for United this season.

But with United likely to spend big this winter, they will also look to loan out some promising youngsters to a range of willing Championship suitors, with players like Lingard having successful loan spells last year.

Blackburn have been under embargo for a while now due to the turbulent Venky ownership meaning they are mainly limited to doing business in the loan market.

Blackburn after losing key frontman Rudy Gestede to Aston Villa in the summer and Cairney to Fulham, did bring in Koita who has been successful so far and have already brought in Elliot Bennett.

After Gary Bowyer was sacked, new manager Paul Lambert has been looking to rebuild the squad and is hoping to keep hold of their most prized asset in the shape of Jordan Rhodes, who has been strongly linked with a move away.

Here are THREE players Blackburn could realistically sign from United this month....

Nick Powell

Nick Powell

The young Manchester United midfielder signed for United from Crewe in 2012 at just 18-years-old, but has yet to make an impression on the first team.

The U21's coach at United has regularly commented that Powell is far too good to be playing at that level and needed some first team football in the Championship.

He had had success in the Championship before, when two seasons ago he scored seven goals for Wigan, though he did have an unsuccessful spell at Premier League side Leicester last season.

Powell can play in attacking midfielder or on the wing and as a striker, and would undoubtedly bolster Blackburn's attacking options.

Jesse Lingard

Jesse Lingard

The former England U21 international enjoyed a breakthrough at United this season, securing some first team appearances in the league and even in the Champions League and scored against West Brom.

The versatile forward has now been pushed out of the first team squad and will be seeking some first team football in the Championship or the Premier League.

He is experienced at this level with loan spells at four different Championship sides, including a successful spell at Derby last season.

Andreas Pereira

Andreas Pereira

The Brazilian midfielder has put in a number of dazzling displays for United in the Capital One Cup, scoring against Ipswich and was there best player on the pitch against Middlesbrough.

But he has not been given a chance in the first team despite his clear talent, his excellent performances against the two Championship sides shows he can play at this level too.
