For the fourth time in Premier League history, West Brom face a Championship season following a relegation.

They are the stereotypical yo-yo team, swapping between the two with alarming frequency since the turn of the century.

It is the first time in seven seasons they've started life in the second tier, with promotion in 2010 the last time they experienced Championship football.

Much has changed since then, not least the buying power of their rivals and the clamour to get back as quickly as possible.

Had Darren Moore been appointed earlier, maybe the Baggies wouldn't have been in this mess. The form under his watchful eye at the end of last season was excellent, certainly not relegation material. If they'd pulled the trigger on Pardew six weeks earlier, who knows?

They didn't, they're in the Championship and now Moore has a chance to make a name for himself in the dugout. He's got some big decisions to make too, with transfer sagas not the only choices he's faced with.

Here, impending transfers aside, are three dilemmas facing the rookie boss, assuming he sticks with the 4-4-1-1 formation of last season.

There's every chance that Craig Dawson will move on but, if he doesn't, there's a choice to be made in the centre of defence.

Moore has secured Kyle Bartley today and both Dawson and Ahmed Hegazi are still with the club. A big move for the troublesome Dawson is likeliest, but if it doesn't come off life will be interesting.

Currently Oliver Burke and Matt Phillips look likely to battle it out for the right wing position.

Burke will surely be looking to thrive after two big-money moves have got him right back where he started, in the Championship. Phillips could well move on, alleviating the issue somewhat.

There's likely to be more moves that change this significantly, with both Jay Rodriguez and Salomon Rondon possibly on their way.

What of Hal Robson-Kanu though? A Euro 2016 wonder goal earned him his Hawthorns move, but two seasons on he's got just five goals. Is there a place for him at the lower level, or youngster Jonathan Leko?
