Luton Town, like every other football club in England, are currently hanging in limbo as they wait to find out how their season will end.

Upon the suspension of football by the EFL last week, the Hatters sat second-bottom of the Championship table with six points separating them from safety and another campaign in the second-tier.

In their isolation time, however, players will still be keeping in shape, making sure they are ready to return to the action at any moment.

Here, we take a look at THREE players who will want to return with a vengeance when that happens...

Callum McManaman

Although he has impressed in flashes, it is probably safe to say that McManaman has somewhat underwhelmed during his time at Kenilworth Road so far.

He has scored three goals in 20 Championship appearances, which is by no means a disastrous total, but he has also started just three matches in the second tier for his side.

When the season returns he will surely be determined to assert himself more in Graeme Jones' plans and in the starting XI. It would be the perfect time for him to do just that as well as a relegation battle looms large.

QUIZ: The Luton player nationality quiz – Can you get 15 out of 15?

Izzy Brown

He was excellent for the Hatter during the opening half of the campaign, but since he picked up an injury his standards have slipped.

Prior to the injury at the end of 2019, he had racked up a goal and six assists in 15 appearances - a pretty impressive tally for someone who has struggled so badly for fitness in recent years.

But in his last seven appearances he has failed to contribute to a single goal. He found his way back in the starting XI in their last match against Wigan and he will be hoping to hang onto it so he can remind people what he is made of.

Jacob Butterfield

He was handed a lifeline by Luton when he arrvied in the summer transfer window but has so far underwhelmed.

Prior to the league's suspension, he found himself dropped from Graeme Jones' plans completely. With training cancelled he will surely be working hard now to ensure he impresses upon the game's return.

He certainly has what it takes to perform at Championship level. Now he needs to show it.
