Bristol City are thought to be looking at Rangers star Lee Wallace as a replacement for left-back Lloyd Kelly, the 21-year-old attracting lots of interest from the Premier League.
The Robins seems resigned to losing their exciting youngster and if reports are to be believed, they’ve identified 31-year-old Wallace as a replacement.
Wallace has played all of his football in Scotland, emerging at Heart of Midlothian before moving to Ibrox. He played a key role in bringing them up from Division Three to the Championship, but has fallen out off favour in recent seasons.
It would seem odd to replace such a vibrant youngster with a stalwart such as Wallace, but what other options are there available to Lee Johnson? If he wanted to bring in a left back from the EFL, who is available and might be a better investment?
