Rotherham are in trouble at the bottom end of the Championship table, fighting for their survival in the division, and they need to consider strengthening the playing staff during the transfer window.

Rotherham are 21st in the table, just staying outside the relegation zone on goal difference from Bristol City, Rotherham boss Neil Redfearn knows that he needs to find players that will help fight off the drop down to League One.

Funds are tight at the Millers, so it may have to be loan deals, and scouting Premier League clubs for talent sitting idle on the sidelines may be the best option for cash strapped side.

Liverpool are renowned for the passing football and boss Jurgen klopp might be tempted to give his fringe players a chance to play first team football, so here are THREE Reds players Rotherham should try and sign in January from Liverpool......

Connor Randall

The 21-year-old right-back, has made just one appearance for the Liverpool first team and could use going out on loan to gain some much needed senior football.

He has been captain of the England U18 and U21 sides - Randall is an attacking right-back or a wing back, he likes to get forward and carry the ball into the opponent's half.

Randall needs first team football to break into Liverpool's first team and Rotherham could use some fresh talent to climb away from the danger zone.

Pedro Chirivella

The holding midfielder could be a huge benefit to the Rotherham squad, the former Valencia youth team player has an excellent range of passing and has got huge praise from the Liverpool coaching staff.

He has though only made one outing in the Reds first team, and will be seeking some first-team action to push his way into Klopp's plans for the future.

Rotherham United could be a perfect platform for the midfielder to excel and flourish, and ultimately develop and mature as a professional footballer.

Ryan McLaughlin

The Northern Ireland, 22-year-old full-back recently came back from a successful loan spell north of the border with Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen.

The defender has been pushing for a first team place and could not get any assurances from former manager Brendon Rodgers, so he went out on loan, and will be seeking talks with new boss Jürgen Klopp.

If none are forth coming, he will want to get out on loan again and the Championship would be an ideal place to continue his football education.

Rotherham would be ideal for the defender, as manager Neil Redfearn is renowned for utilising young talent in his starting elevens.
