Sheffield Wednesday are a team on the up.

Backed by new owners and making signings that many Championship clubs could only dream of, they are making a surge towards the promotion places as the season draws to an end.

Under Portuguese manager Carlos Carvalhal, Sheffield Wednesday are having their best season since relegation from the Premier League.

There is no doubting the quality in the squad, but to secure promotion, sometimes you have to keep moving forward and not rest on your laurels.

Wednesday may look to add one or two more faces to enhance their chances further, and there are plenty of players available in the loan window available for clubs in the lower leagues to take a punt on.

One such team the Owls could take a look at is Liverpool.

Under Jurgen Klopp many of the fringe players have indeed been given a chance, but Klopp knows what his best side is, and with key men such as Daniel Sturridge back in the frame, some players may be allowed to leave on loan.

In this article, we take a look at THREE Liverpool players Sheffield Wednesday may look to sign on loan......

Kevin Stewart

Kevin Stewart

The midfielder made his debut during the 6-0 mauling of Aston Villa at the weekend, impressing with his range of passing and calmness when he entered the fold in the second half.

Stewart was signed by Liverpool from Spurs, and has since spent loan spells with Cheltenham and Burton Albion, as well as a short spell with Swindon Town.

The Owls have top midfield talent already, but Stewart could well come in and offer them a different angle on things. At 22, he is no longer a baby in footballing terms, and must be chomping at the bit to get regular games under his belt after getting a taste of first team action at the weekend.

Sheyi Ojo

The flying winger has made sporadic appearances this term, namely in the FA Cup ties with Exeter City in January, and impressed with his ability to dribble and beat a man.

Ojo spent time on loan with Wolves earlier in the season, before being recalled by Klopp when an injury crisis struck.

The Owls have plenty of creativity in the midfield areas, but barring Jeremy Helan, there is no really direct pace and power down the wings. Ojo could definitely bring this to Hillsborough, and is someone Carlos Carvalhal would consider adding to his squad for the run in.

Jerome Sinclair

The Owls may express an interest in signing the youngster permanently should he fail to agree a new deal as is expected, and it would be no surprise to see him join them on loan during the emergency window.

Sinclair has pace in abundance and is highly rated at Anfield, but question marks have been raised over his attitude and whether he is willing to put the work in to earn his place in the game.

Either way, he undoubtedly has talent, and the Owls could do far worse than add the front man to their squad as the final 15 games of the season unfold.

Owls fans, would you take any of these? Who would you like to sign, if anyone in the loan window? Let us know below!
