The transfer window closed over a week ago but there are still opportunities for clubs to operate in the emergency loan window.

With the majority of clubs having just 16 league games left to play, each game now has a greater significance and those three points look more pivotal for a good league position.

Birmingham City are once again having a productive season and while it would be foolish to rule the Blues out at all under Gary Rowett, few would disagree that the manager has got them overachieving this season.

They currently sit in eighth position but significantly just three points off the play-off places.

Birmingham lost key youngster Demarai Gray in the January window, however they were quick to react to his departure, bringing in proven players in Ryan Shotton, Will Buckley and Diego Fabbrini.

Jerome Sinclair

Sinclair looks to be on his way out of Anfield, having rejected a contract from the club.

A move out on loan would probably be best for both player and club, particularly as Sinclair has yet to prove his worth at Football League Level.

However he is highly-rated and his pace and goal threat could be an important tool for a Birmingham side, particularly as an alternative to their current options.

Sinclair could form a prolific partnership with striker Clayton Donaldson in Gary Rowett's team, which ultimately could help them reach a top six spot.

Jordan Rossiter

Similar to Sinclair, Rossiter's contract expires at the end of the season.

He is highly- rated also at the club and interest mounts.

The central midfieder is tenacious and has been able to feature for the Reds at certain times throughout this season.

His grit is a quality Gary Rowett would undoubtedly like and he would be a welcome addition.

Rossiter would provide depth to the Blues squad and gear them up for a challenging remainder of the season.

Brad Smith

Smith featured impressively in Liverpool's late defeat to West Ham in midweek, and the Australian looks to have plenty of potential.

The left-back would certainly provide competition in the squad and could arguably strengthen one of Birmingham's weakest areas.

The 21-year-old is confident on the ball and already has Football League experience, having represented Swindon Town last season.
