It’s been another terrific start to the season for Leeds United, who will be looking to establish themselves in the race for promotion in the coming weeks and months.

Leeds remain unbeaten in the Championship, with Marcelo Bielsa seemingly enjoying his first taste of English football.

Bielsa has watched his side beat Stoke City, Derby County, Rotherham United and Norwich City with relative ease, whilst the Whites have also picked up battling points against the likes of Swansea, Middlesbrough and Millwall.

On paper, Leeds’ start to the season has been difficult, but the Whites have come through seven fixtures in a good way.

We have learnt a lot about Bielsa’s side over the first seven fixtures of the season and the 63-year-old will have also learnt a lot.

Here at FLW, we take a look at THREE things the Argentinian will have learnt about his squad after a whirlwind start…

Hernandez is out with an injury, with the influential Spaniard missing Leeds’ last two fixtures.

Those fixtures have seen Leeds draw twice, with the Whites struggling without Hernandez’s cutting edge.

The sooner he is back, the stronger Leeds will look.

Leeds were flaky last season under Thomas Christiansen, but that appears to have changed.

Against Millwall on Saturday Leeds battled their way to a point, which they wouldn’t have done last year.

Bielsa has changed a lot since he arrived, but Leeds’ mentality could be the biggest.

Phillips has always been a player that has divided opinion at Elland Road, but he is proving to be so important this season.

Bielsa has placed a lot of faith in the young midfielder, who is improving as the weeks go by.

There are still mistakes in his game, but Phillips has shown Bielsa that the talent is there.
