Victor Orta is already talking about the January transfer window, with the Leeds United Director of Football confirming that it is set to be a quiet window at Elland Road.

Leeds are third in the Championship table, with the November international break offering the Whites a chance to regroup ahead of the festive period.

When January comes around, it is a chance for Orta to add a little spark here and there to the Leeds squad, but his recent admission in the Italian media – as per Adam Pope – suggests it is going to be a quiet transfer window.

The Elland Road transfer guru admits that it is hard to land targets, which makes it such a difficult window.

Many would’ve hoped to see Leeds add a couple of star names to help them over the line in promotion race, but others in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad will be relieved to hear there won’t be an overhaul in January.

We take a look at THREE of those players…

Gaetano Berardi

Berardi is third-choice centre-back at Elland Road right now, supporting Liam Cooper and Ben White.

White has been ever-present so far this season, but Cooper has struggled with injuries, which has presented Berardi with a chance to play.

With Leeds expecting a quiet transfer window, that indicates a centre-back won’t be coming in, which is obviously good news for Berardi.

Patrick Bamford

Bamford should be brimming with confidence with Bielsa backing him massively so far this season.

He’s started every Championship fixture so far for the Whites, scoring five goals.

Whilst Eddie Nketiah (when fit) is pushing him for his starting spot, there must’ve been a worry that Bielsa would want another striker given Leeds’ lack of cutting edge.

That doesn’t seem the case, which is great news for Bamford, and probably Nketiah as well.

Tyler Roberts

Roberts has started Leeds’ last two fixtures, as well as scoring his first goal for 13 months in the win over Queens Park Rangers.

Bielsa likes to see the 20-year-old in the No.10 role, where he has impressed when given a chance since Samu Saiz packed his bags 12 months ago.

However, you could argue that Saiz has never been replaced, which could tempt Leeds into looking for a replacement.

That doesn’t seem to be the case, though, with Roberts looking set for an extended run in the side.
