Regardless of whether Leeds United clinch promotion this term, it is likely a number of players will leave Elland Road at the end of this season.

One of those who looks set to end his spell in LS11 is Polish goalkeeper Kamil Miazek, with Football Insider reporting yesterday that Rangers are set to reignite their interest in the 23-year-old in the summer.

There is a crop of players who are currently away on loan from Elland Road, and some who despite still being around Leeds, have only played a small part this term.

Following Football Insider’s news yesterday on Miazek, we have taken a look at three other players who could follow the Polish stopper out of Elland Road over the summer…

Jay-Roy Grot

Some Leeds fans will be forgiven if they have forgotten all about Dutchman Jay-Roy Grot, who failed to impress during his first season in LS11 over the 2017-2018 campaign.

The 21-year-old joined signed a four-year deal with the club back in 2017 but only managed one goal in 22 appearances for the club.

Grot spent last term on loan at Dutch side VVV Venlo and netted six times in 34 appearances for the side.

Over the summer of 2019, Grot joined fellow Eredivisie side Vitesse and has so far scored one goal in 24 appearances.

Although he hasn’t kicked a ball for the Whites since 2018, Grot still has one year left on his Elland Road contract.

Despite this, it seems likely Grot will be one of the first names to follow Miazek out of Elland Road, regardless of what league the club finds themselves in.

Laurens De Bock

Left-back De Bock joined the Whites on a four-and-a-half deal back in January 2018 and it is fair to say the 27-year-old didn’t really impress in his seven appearances for the club.

Like Grot, De Bock has since spent time away from United having had loan spells at Oostende and Sunderland before joining Eredivisie club ADO Den Haag in January.

De Bock will also have another year on his contract come May, but again like Grot, it seems more than likely De Bock will end his time at Elland Road this summer.

QUIZ: Are these Leeds United statements true or false?

Gaetano Berardi

One player on this list who is actually involved in the current first team is 31-year-old Gaetano Berardi.

The 31-year-old has been with the Whites since 2014 and has made 149 appearances across the last six seasons.

Berardi has yet to sign a new contract with the Whites and it may well be that the Swiss looks to see out his career with more regular football elsewhere.

The Swiss has been mainly a back up to Ben White and Liam Cooper this term, and should Leeds manage to win promotion it is likely the Whites will strengthen further which could leave Berardi further down the pecking order.

Should Berardi not sign a new contract, he will be free to leave in the summer with many Whites fans having to say goodbye to a cult hero.
