Leeds United finished the 2015/16 campaign in 13th position in the Sky Bet Championship, and with owner Massimo Cellino desperate to reach the Premier League, the pressure will really be on next season.

Current boss Steve Evans would love another crack at building a squad and trying to challenge for the play-offs, but whether or not the club see him as the man to take the club forward, remains to be seen.

Leeds already have a squad which boasts some top Championship players and whoever is tasked with managing the team next season, will already have the nucleus of a very good team.

Evans talked previously about having already spoken to some clubs over players signing for Leeds during the summer, and it will be interesting to see just whether the club pull any deals off in the coming weeks.

One area Leeds have always been pretty strong in is when it comes to giving players from the youth academy a chance, and certain players could get the chance to shine next season.

Kalvin Phillips

The 20-year-old has been on the books at Leeds United for nearly six years now having signed as a schoolboy.

The Leeds-born youngster has featured just twice in the first-team this season and it was expected at one point that he might leave the club on loan.

With Lewis Cook attracting interest from the Premier League, there could be an opportunity for Phillips to make his mark at Elland Road during the 2016/17 campaign.

Phillips is a decent ball-carrier and given a run in the team he could have a bright future as a Leeds United footballer.

Ronaldo Vieira

With a name like this young man it would seem impossible for him not to go onto havea blistering career.

Having arrived at Leeds at the start of the season he was tasked with performing in the development squads and after impressing he penned terms with the academy.

Throughout the season he has continued to improve and the 17-year-old was handed his debut for the first-team in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Preston North End, coming off the bench to replace Stuart Dallas in the second half.

Despite his tender years, Ronaldo Vieira could go onto feature much more regular during hre 2016/17 campaign, if he keeps up his current rate of development.

Lewie Coyle

The right-back will be looking to add to his 11 Leeds United appearances next season, after impressing during his time with the first-team during the 2015/16 campaign.

Steve Evans must be credited with given the likes of Coyle the chance to shine in the first-team and if he does leave, that is certainly one area that he can certainly take a lot of heart from.

Coyle made his full debut in an FA Cup encounter against Rotherham United and has never let his team-mates or manager down when called upon throughout the season.

The 20-year-old is what I would call a modern day full-back, and enjoys the attacking side of the game just as much as the defending aspect.
