There are a number of big name clubs that now grace the Championship, for example Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Leeds United.

The fact that these clubs now compete in England's second division, means that other Championship clubs will receive more revenue from things like ticket sales - and while it might be tempting to splash this cash on a superstar signing from Europe's top divisions, there is a plethora of talent lurking only a few leagues lower.

Plenty of players over the years have gone from the lower leagues and gone on to be stars in higher divisions, with Delle Alli and Jamie Vardy the two most obvious examples to spring to mind.

Clubs are now looking closer than ever at divisions League One and Two, and there is expected to be more movement this summer between the divisions.

In this article, Football League World's Jack Sharp looks at three players from Sky Bet League Two that Championship clubs should be scouting.

Luke Berry

Luke Berry is a 23-year-old with bags of talent. The Cambridge player was an absolute stalwart for the club last campaign, playing in all but two of Cambridge's League games, scoring 12 goals from midfield, at a rate of a goal every 315 minutes on the pitch.

I have witnessed Berry's talent in person, as he dispatched an 86th minute winner from around 25 yards in the game that I witnessed him gracing.

It is clear that he is assured on the ball, technically he is extremely strong and the player who has had a loan spell at now Championship club Barnsley definitely has an extremely clinical nature, although he is a midfielder by trade.

Berry is rumoured to be valued at around the quarter million mark, making him a realistic target for most, if not all Championship clubs.

Graham Carey

Graham Carey

The 27-year-old has had an explosive first season in English football, after signing from Plymouth Argyle last summer after his release from Ross County.

I have been lucky enough to witness Carey's technical finesse many, many times throughout last season; it is obvious that the Irishman possesses quality far above the division he plays in.

He signed for Argyle on a one year contract last season, however his contract was extended to a further year following his impressive performances for the Devon club.

Although the attacking midfielder was injured from late November to late January, he still made a commendable 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and creating 16 from attacking midfield.

Carey, who is renowned for his wand of a left foot, would prove to a be an excellent capture for someone in the Championship.

Jay Simpson

Jay Simpson is a player who has had his career truly revitalised after an outstanding personal season at Leyton Orient.

Simpson, who is known for having outstanding power, strength and finishing ability finished the campaign with the O's with a remarkable 25 league goals, at a rate of a League goal for every 153 minutes Simpson was on the pitch.

Simpson has been a bit of a journeyman in his career, with Orient being the seventh club Simpson has played for - however he has shown he can adapt well to a change in environment this season and perhaps a move to the Championship could enhance his career even further.

Simpson could well be in the price range of a few Championship clubs, who may well be willing to take a punt on the former Arsenal youngster.
