With the loss of Mirco Antenucci being such a crucial one for Leeds United and possibly a new change in manager, the lack of consistency within the Elland Road ranks is once again surfacing its ugly head.
Antenucci is a creative genius in the Leeds department, which may sound extreme, but look at the chances he has been involved in this season, near 82% for a goal-stricken United squad.
His goals, assists and overall contribution to United will be a massive loss, and with ex-players at Leeds who have moved on and struggled to be replaced (Snodgrass, Gradel, Howson, Beckford, Becchio, Johnson), you would hope that whoever comes in is given the funds to spend money on the necessary talents.
If Leeds do want to rebuild in the striker department, the array of talent in League One is frightening and, if United are to challenge, this could be a superb avenue to venture down.

Sam Winnall
Lee Gregory
Now proven man in League One, Gregory has already announced and expressed his need to play in the Championship next season. If Millwall don’t reach this, this could see their top man leave the Den. Gregory has been a key part of Millwall’s play-off push this season with 17 goals and three assists. Not only this but possibly most impressively, Gregory has been involved in 34 goals created this season, not only the goal converter, but the goalscorer. Leeds should consider Gregory. His prowess in front of goal and ability to play on either the right or the left gives Millwall some versatility and choice up front. Chris Wood is a target man, but if Gregory is able to do the running around Wood, not only would space be created for the wide men in Taylor, Berardi, Dallas etc, but Wood would be able to pick off the scraps and contend with a lot more chances that have been presented to him this season.
Tom Bradshaw
Walsall’s main man, Bradshaw boasts 16 goals this season and is seen as one of the hottest properties in League One football.
The young man (23) has been turning heads for a couple of seasons now, as his consistency and threat in the opposition’s box really is frightening.
Whichever league the club will ply their trade in next season, it looks set to be a long summer for Walsall, who will undoubtedly try and fend off bids for Bradshaw. Yet, in this current form and with the high demand, they will most likely fail.
Bradshaw has been mentioned in a lot of discussions around the Championship, but Leeds haven’t really covered the striker. His ability is easily the best fitted for Leeds. He covers ground, makes goals and more importantly converts them.
He is exceedingly quick and would be a perfect match in a 4-4-2 formation alongside the target man Wood. The Kiwi can provide the flick-ons and aerial threat, but Leeds’ lack of pace upfront has been a key issue since the departure of Jermaine Beckford.
