QPR's season hasn't exactly gone to plan so far and they currently lie too close to comfort above the bottom three, which is something Ian Holloway needs to address quickly.

A woeful start to the season saw Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink lose his job, with Rangers in a similar position to where they are now, which would suggest Hasselbaink was harshly dismissed.

The hunt for a new boss saw the return of fans' favourite Ian Holloway and he is slowly starting to turn things around at Loftus Road.

Three consecutive wins has eased the pressure on Holloway and made the table look a lot healthier.

The only previous win Holloway had registered was in his first game in charge, against Norwich City.

Holloway has inherited what is mostly Hasselbaink's squad so January will represent the perfect opportunity for him to both, get rid of the players he doesn't want and bring his own players in.

Here, I will look at 3 players from League One who Holloway should look to sign...

Matty Taylor

Taylor has been one of the Football League's leading marksmen over the last 18 months.

He topped the League Two scoring charts last season with 27 goals and he has continued his rich vein of scoring form this season, netting 15 goals already in a division up.

Taylor doesn't possess blistering pace to get him into goal scoring positions but he uses his head to predict where the ball will drop.

More often than not, he is in the right place at the right time, which is why he scores so many goals.

Josh Morris

Morris has been involved in the most goals of any player in League One this season; scoring 16 and assisting nine.

Morris has been a key factor in Scunthorpe's surprise run to the top two this season and they will be keen to keep hold of their star man.

Like Taylor, Morris isn't blessed with great pace but he uses his knowledge of the game to get him into goal scoring positions.

His game isn't limited to goals from open play either; he has great quality from set-pieces, as he showed in last weekend's victory over Bury.

Zach Clough

Clough has been a standout player in what has been a successful Bolton team this season and it would be no surprise if a Championship move came about in January.

The promising youngster had been linked with a move away from the Macron last year but decided to stay at continue his development at Bolton.

Clough's versatility would enable him to have more chance of game time for Rangers.

Holloway tends to play with both wingers and an attacking midfielder, Clough's two most comfortable positions.

He would add some much needed creativity to the QPR attack, which has been toothless this season.
