Fulham's disappointing campaign came to an end on Saturday with Tom Cairney giving the Cottagers a 1-0 win over bottom side Bolton Wanderers.

They ended up in 20th place with 51 points, beating Rotherham in the table thanks primarily to the Millers' heavy defeat to Hull on the final day.

The Craven Cottage faithful can expect better next season if the club's owners are to be believed, as Shahid Khan has pledged current boss Slavisa Jokanovic financial backing to build a side that can challenge for promotion.

He has a few of the components already in his midst, but may have to brace himself for the double departure of Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele, who have, between them, scored over 60% of Fulham's goals.

There's not much firepower from the rest of the squad, with the only other strikers at the club being Matt Smith and 21-year old Cauley Woodrow.

So, in the opinion of FLW's Ryan Evans, are THREE Sky Bet League One players that Fulham must consider signing.....

Adam Armstrong

On loan at Coventry from Premier League Newcastle, Armstrong's future is currently uncertain.

Plenty thought that the new Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez should recall him from his loan at the Ricoh Arena, but he resisted the temptation to do that.

The 19-year old has scored 20 goals for the Sky Blues in a sensational personal campaign, but couldn't help them finish any higher than 8th place, five points behind the play-off pack.

He also has featured for the England Under-19 team as they qualified for this summer's Euros, so far bagging three goals for the Young Lions.

Armstrong is sure to be a star, but can he lead the line for a team with ambitions similar to Fulham?

George Moncur

Moncur is currently at Colchester, who suffered relegation down to League Two this season.

However, he has been one of the league's most impressive players, with 12 goals to his name.

The 22-year old is a former England Under-18 international, and this campaign has only boosted his reputation.

Three goals in his last five have proved to not be enough for the U's.

His goal scoring efforts from this term look even better if you consider that Moncur has been playing in a side that hasn't given him great support, so a step up to Fulham may be able to get the best out of this young talent.

The Cottagers may have to see off challenge from rival clubs for his signature, however, as it was reported in January that MK Dons, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest were interested in Moncur.

Nicky Ajose

The 24-year old spent 10 years at Manchester United as a teenager, but has since moved on to the likes of Peterborough, Leeds and now Swindon Town.

After last year's play-off heartbreak, Town parted company with Mark Cooper in October, as they slumped to a 16th place finish, when many were tipping them for promotion.

However, Ajose has been a shining light in this team, scoring 24 league goals, which was only bettered by the 25 of Wigan's Will Grigg. He could be looking higher up the league ladder too, as no one would say a move to the second tier wouldn't be worthy.
