Chris Wilder endured a torrid start to his Sheffield United career but he has since turned things around, got the fans and players on his side and is really starting to shine in his new managerial role at Bramall Lane.

8 wins in the last 11 league games have seen the Blades shoot up the League One table and into fourth spot.

They are just three points off the automatic spots with a game in hand, form favouring them and fans are finally starting to believe that their years of third tier exile could be coming to an end soon.

Sheffield United have flirted with promotion for a while but have fallen ultimately short every time.

Wilder has hit team playing some fine football though and the results are impressive with a number of hefty wins.

He will be keen to add some new faces to his squad in January though to make sure Sheffield United have every chance of going all the way this season.

Here are three players he should consider from League Two.

Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins broke onto the scene last season for Exeter but has failed to reproduce his form this year.

Nevertheless, the 20-year-old is still a tremendous prospect who is already showing that he can compete at this level.

Watkins is a young striker who netted a double against rivals Plymouth and has been chased by a host of Championship clubs so Sheffield United would do well to add him to their list of talented strikers.

Bright Osayi-Samuel

Bramall Lane

Talented young winger Bright Osayi-Samuel has been capturing the attentions of the Premier League big boys with exciting performances on the wing.

The 18-year-old has plenty of pace and skill but he is still a very raw and developing talent who needs to add end product to his game.

That will come with game time and maybe the young Nigerian might fancy plying his trade in the lower leagues in order to follow a gradual route to the top of the game.

Tom Barkhuizen

Barkhuizen

Tom Barkhuizen is a goalscoring winger, who can also be deployed up front, and he is too good to be playing in League Two for much longer.

The 23-year-old causes all sorts of problems for lower league defences and would be a good option to have to use on the wings.

The former Blackpool man has impressed at Morecambe but could be tempted by a move to Sheffield United with the prospect of potential Championship football next season being a key selling point.
