Sheffield Wednesday have announced the arrival of Tony Pulis as the club's new boss.

Pulis has been out of work since leaving Middlesbrough and, now, he's tasked with picking Sheffield Wednesday up in the bottom-three of the Championship and getting them safe.

Garry Monk has got the Owls back into positive points after their off-season deduction, with results in the last couple of weeks even peeling the side off the bottom of the Championship table.

Quiz: Did these 17 Sheffield Wednesday players ever actually score a league goal for the club?

Nevertheless, Sheffield Wednesday remain in the Championship's bottom-three and they are not out of the woods yet in terms of relegation.

The November international break offers the 62-year-old a chance to get himself settled, before attention turns to a clash with Preston North End next weekend.

We dive into THREE issues that need addressing ASAP...

League position

Perhaps the most obvious place to start is Wednesday's position in the Championship table.

They are 23rd at the moment and in a good place to pull themselves out of trouble. It's a point deduction that has thrust them into the position, but it's still an issue.

Pulis' first task will be to pull Wednesday out of the bottom three and get them comfortable in mid-table.

Home form

Key to pulling Wednesday up the Championship table will be the club's form at Hillsborough.

Under Monk, it was an issue and the opening four games of the season at SW6 didn't bring a win.

The Owls addressed that by beating AFC Bournemouth and then drawing with Millwall; two hugely positive results.

Pulis needs to carry that on and make Hillsborough a fortress now.

Goalkeeping dilemma

Monk had opted to freeze out the experienced Keiren Westwood, placing his faith in Cameron Dawson and Joe Wildsmith.

However, the former Wednesday boss couldn't settle on a No.1. Dawson started the season with the gloves, but Wildsmith has replaced him recently.

For many, Westwood remains the best goalkeeper at the club and he should start.

Pulis has to decide on his No.1 and stick with it. There's been too many changes in the goalkeeping department.
