Lower league scouting is currently all the rage in the Premier League, with Dele Alli currently the talk of the nation heading into Euro 2016 after seemingly coming out of nowhere since leaving MK Dons.
As amazing as it has been to watch him develop into a top class with Tottenham Hotspur, the North London outfit were not the first to develop second tier talent into established Premier League stars.
West Ham United picked up Aaron Cresswell from Ipswich Town back in 2014 and the 26-year old defender has gone on to become one of the most dependable in the Premier League ever since.
If it weren’t for the depth of talent England have in that particular berth, there’s every chance the former Tractor Boy would be heading for Euro 2016.
So, why stop there? Ipswich boast a wonderful academy, having produced the likes of Kieran Dyer and Darren Bent over the years.
