It's been a better week for Sheffield Wednesday this week with them having a league win to shout about at long long last.

The men from Hillsborough have had a tough season this year with their top six hopes being replaced by growing concerns about a relegation battle.

The win over Derby County earlier this week, though, should have helped allay those fears somewhat whilst it also perhaps marked the beginning of something exciting at the club.

Indeed, in our latest FLW Spotlight feature, we're taking a look at young Sean Clare's performance against the Rams:

Signed from the Nike Academy a few years ago, Clare has spent his formative years on loan at Football League clubs but with Wednesday in the midst of a injury crisis, he was duly given the chance to show what he could do on Tuesday.

He certainly grasped the opportunity with both hands, too, as he put in a display that belied his young years and largely helped run a game surrounded by far more seasoned pros.

His industrial side in the middle of the park was clear to see as he made a number of interceptions and won multiple aerial duels, suggesting he's already up for a physical battle.

And, though he'd perhaps like his passing to have been a bit more accurate, you cannot take away from the fact that this was a promising performance from Clare.
