Marcelo Bielsa will be satisfied with Leeds United’s position in the race for promotion, although the meticulous Argentinian will want more from his side in the coming weeks and months.

Leeds are playing well, but they’re lacking some consistency, which will undoubtedly be key in the race for promotion.

Additions in January could well be on the cards to help that, with Bielsa seemingly keen to bolster his options going forward.

In the last seven days, Fernando Llorente has been linked with a move to Elland Road, whilst non-league ace, Macauley Bonne, is another.

Llorente is a striker on the fringe at Tottenham, whilst Bonne has found the net 16 times for Leyton Orient, with the 23-year-old looking ready to step back up into the Football League.

Should Leeds seal deals for the attacking duo, it’ll have a big impact on the Elland Road club.

Here at FLW, we look at THREE of those impacts…

Kemar Roofe is Leeds’ leading man, whilst Patrick Bamford will be back-up when he returns from injury in 2019.

So far Roberts has been involved, but the addition of two strikers in January would push him further down the pecking order.

A loan move could well be on the cards for the Welshman if that’s the case.

There’s no denying that both Llorente and Bonne would bring something entirely different to Bielsa’s attack.

Llorente is an experienced striker with a real touch of class, whilst Bonne would surely be fearless stepping up into the Championship from non-league.

Adding the duo to Roofe and Bamford would really give Bielsa an option for anything an opponent might throw at Leeds.

Leeds’ attack has been good so far this season, with the Whites scoring 31 goals, which is bettered by only Norwich and West Brom.

Adding to that attack in January would seriously worry Leeds’ rivals ahead of the second-half of the season.

If either Llorente or Bonne hit the ground running, Leeds would be even more competitive in the race for promotion.
