There has been much speculation about the future of Josh Maja at Sunderland with a number of clubs reportedly interested in a deal to sign the promising youngster.

Sunderland owner, Stewart Donald has provided supporters with an important update on his future, and claimed that Maja wants to sign a new deal with the Black Cats, but has had interference from his agent.

It will come as no surprise to see Maja attracting interest as he has played a crucial role in the Sunderland team that challenges for an immediate return to the Championship.

The 20-year-old forward has 13 league goals to his name this season, and Sunderland will surely do everything they can to hold on to him.

After breaking through from the under 23's side, not many would have predicted that Maja could have made such a significant impact.

But who should Sunderland be targeting if Maja departs this month?

Find out here....

Bogle has made just three starts for Birmingham this season and is unlikely to ever get in the starting XI ahead of Che Adams and Lucas Jutkiewicz.

The majority of his appearances for the Blues have come off the substitutes bench which will be disappointing for the on-loan Wigan man.

Wigan would have to recall him from his loan spell, but it could be a possibility if Sunderland were to give Bogle regular game time.

McNulty has struggled for game time with Reading this season and is likely to be eyeing amove away from the Madejski Stadium this month.

He has scored just once since moving to Reading from Coventry in the summer but after falling down the pecking order in Jose Gomes' side, he could be a target for several League One sides in this transfer window.

This could potentially happen as Liverpool will be keen to see Brewster get some much-needed experience in first-team football.

He is one of the brightest young English talents and played a starring role for England Under 17's side that won the World Cup.

Brewster has been injured recently but is nearing a return and Sunderland should certainly be eyeing a deal to sign him on loan for the rest of the season.
