Queens Park Rangers football academy has developed in order to invest in upcoming footballing talent and provide the network, coaching, health and lifestyle advice that each player needs to make a successful career in football.

QPR’s academy use advanced technology and coaching methods to develop their players.

They are actively looking for upcoming talent to join their academy, and are very selective about who gets in, as competition is tough.

The academy has developed players such as Raheem Sterling into world class footballers over the years, and there is plenty of talent that could certainly follow in the England international’s footsteps.

The under-23’s side have had a great start to their season – recording 3 wins from their first four fixtures and they will be looking to impress Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, whose first team side are struggling.

It would be a risk, but the Dutch manager could be tempted to dip into the under-23 side in the coming months and FLW writer, Ashley Williams identifies THREE players who could be hidden gems at the club.....

 

Axel Prohouly

Axel Prohouly joined QPR from AS Monaco in July 2015 and is highly regarded at the West London club.

The Frenchman made 18 appearances for the Under-21s last season, scoring five goals, and impressed enough to be selected for the Rangers substitutes’ bench for the first time in May 2016 at Burnley.

Prohouly will be aiming to keep working hard to make sure he is the next starlet for the first team squad.

Osman Kakay

Osman Kakay has been on the books at QPR since the age of eight, and the right-back has made plenty of progression in recent seasons.

Known for his attacking qualities, Kakay enjoyed a five-month loan spell with Livingston in the Scottish Championship at the back end of the 2015/16 campaign and certainly a player who Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink should keep a watchful eye on in the upcoming months.

Brandon Adams

Brandon Adams has been at QPR for over two years now and the youngster’s game has significantly developed since signing for the Hoops.

Known for his composure in front of goal, Adams netted six goals for the Under-18s last year and if he continues his prolific strike rate, he could be an option for the Dutch boss to take a chance on.
