Nottingham Forest have been credited with an interest in Huddersfield Town left-back Harry Toffolo, as per a report from The Athletic.

The 26-year-old, who thrived in a left-wing-back role last season, played an integral role in Huddersfield's third-place finish.

Toffolo proved to be a constant source of attacking threat, all whilst providing an excellent defensive service too.

Here, we take a look at three left-back options that Huddersfield could look at if Toffolo is to depart this summer...

George Cox

Possessing a contract that expires in 2024, Fortuna Sittard left-back George Cox could be a consideration if the Terriers lost Toffolo this summer.

The 24-year-old, who featured regularly within Holland's top division last time out, can operate as a wing-back, or as a left-back in a solid back four.

Bringing energy and cutting edge in an attacking sense, Cox is someone who is measured and calculated out of possession, whilst displaying excellent levels of intelligence and positional awareness.

Leif Davis

Playing just 573 Championship minutes last season, Leif Davis is someone who could benefit from another loan spell in England's second tier.

His lack of game time at Bournemouth came as a result of the rise of Jordan Zemura, with the young full-back hitting unimaginable heights during the last campaign.

A full-back who possesses bags of energy and the ability to create in the final third, he is another who could operate within a back four, or as a wing-back.

Ali Koiki

Perhaps a more outlandish shout, but Ali Koiki proved to be at least a level above in League One last season, with the Northampton Town full-back someone who is on a steep upward trajectory.

An excellent ball carrier, who can create chaos in the final third, Koiki is also a strong defensive option who wins the majority of his ground and aerial duels.

Koiki would represent a risk but given how high his potential is, it would be a risk worth taking.
