Reading continued their disastrous season with a 3-0 defeat to leaders Wolves last night that keeps them just six points above the relegation zone.

Having reached the play-off final last season, there are many factors for the struggles this time around, one of which is clearly many players are not producing the same form.

However, one man who has done reasonably well this season is Liam Moore, so much so that he was heavily linked with a move away in January, with Celtic said to be keen.

And, here at FLW, we think the Scottish champions should prioritise the defender in the summer.

Brendan Rodgers men are on course for another domestic treble but there have been serious issues with their defence in recent weeks.

In the Europa League, the Hoops fell to a 3-0 defeat against Zenit that saw them eliminated, with defensive errors to blame.

Even on Sunday in the Old Firm derby victory, Dedryck Boyata was at fault for Rangers opener and his partner Jozo Simunovic was sent off.

Therefore, it’s still a major problem for the ex-Liverpool boss.

Importantly, Moore suits the style that Rodgers demands. Royals’ boss Jaap Stam plays the same way and it means the centre-back is very capable on the ball, as the stats prove.

As well as that, he has the physicality and power to dominate centre-forwards.

Celtic are going to need to bring in at least one centre-back to improve in Europe and Moore looks like an ideal and realistic option.
