Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis is already planning for next season with reports suggesting he is interested in several players from former club West Brom.

Of course, a lot will depend on how Boro do in the next two months, with promotion to the Premier League a real possibility.

The north east side are unbeaten in six games and occupy the final play-off spot, with Pulis' side looking as though they've found momentum at just the right time.

Boro will hope this form continues until May and if they return to the Premier League at the first time of asking they will be quickly looking for players to help in the top-flight.

One common approach by newly-promoted clubs is to look at the recently relegated sides, who are often desperate to offload players.

Here at FLW we reckon Pulis should go for Bakary Sako if Boro are in the Premier League.

The former Wolves winger is a really powerful player and has a fantastic left foot, which provides great delivery from set-plays - something Pulis will surely appreciate.

It took Sako a long time to replicate the form he had shown at Molineux for Palace but he looked the part earlier in the season before injury struck, scoring three times and becoming a real team player for Roy Hodgson.

Even though he is inconsistent, Sako has pace, strength and an unpredictability that few in the Boro squad can match.

Crucially, his contract is up in May, so Boro wouldn't need to pay a transfer fee for the 29-year old.
