Middlesbrough remain well in the hunt for promotion in the Sky Bet Championship, with Tony Pulis looking to guide his side back to the top-flight.

Pulis has been key to resurrecting a season that looked like failing under Garry Monk around Christmas, with the ex-West Brom and Stoke City boss putting Boro into the top-six.

The Teessiders are now in a good position to push on in the remaining games and claim a place in the play-offs, which will give them the chance to battle for a place back in the Premier League next season.

Not much has changed at the Riverside Stadium in terms of personnel, but Pulis has turned to a select group of players, who have performed consistently to put Boro in a good position.

However, whatever division Boro find themselves playing football in next season, Pulis is likely to tinker with his playing squad.

With that in mind, we take a look at THREE of Monk’s signings he could look to move on…

The 27-year-old winger has fallen down the pecking order throughout the season and doesn’t look like featuring under Pulis.

Johnson has a lack of experience at Championship level and in the summer we could see him move back to League One.

Baker is on-loan at the Riverside Stadium from Chelsea, but has struggled to make an impact in the Championship.

The 22-year-old is unlikely to have a future with Boro and should be returning to his parent-club when the summer comes around.

Saying Howson has been disappointing is harsh, as the midfielder has featured regularly for Boro this season.

However, moving into next year, you’d imagine Pulis will want a different option in central midfield.

Of course, Howson might stick around, but if Boro are promoted, Pulis might look to offload the 29-year-old.
