Steve McClaren’s QPR side were dealt a blow with the news that Geoff Cameron is set for a spell on the sidelines with an ankle ligament injury.
It was announced on the club’s official website, that Cameron is currently in a protective boot and is set to miss the festive set of fixtures alongside Angel Rangel, who has also been ruled out of action.
It leaves McClaren with a shortage of midfield options heading into the hectic set of festive fixtures, which could define where they finish this season.
QPR have had their fair share of financial problems in recent times, which somewhat limits them heading into the January transfer window, so the QPR boss could be tempted to look into the free agent market.
There are a number of players who are more than worthy replacements to Cameron available in the free agent market heading into the New Year and they will be keen to prove themselves, in order to find a new club.
So, which free agents should QPR be targeting as Cameron’s replacement?
