West Brom have enjoyed a free-scoring start to the season on their return to the second tier following last season's disappointing relegation.

The job Darren Moore has done has been unquestionably faultless - since he took over, the Baggies have looked brilliant going forward, which is something they lacked for the majority of the relegation campaign.

West Brom have scored 27 goals in the league in 11 games, which is outstanding. In fact, it is six better than any other side in the division, although it is helped by their smashing of QPR in the early weeks of the season.

Despite this, the Baggies have conceded the most goals in the top half of the table, which will be a worry for Darren Moore.

He will obviously want to get some more defenders in to sure up his defence and stop his side from leaking more goals.

To do this, Moore will have to wait until January, unless he enters the free agent market and takes a gamble on a player without a club.

Surprisingly, there are some good players out there and Moore may be tempted.

Here at FLW, we look at THREE players available to West Brom on a free right now…

James Collins is available after leaving West Ham at the end of last season. With experience in the English game, he seems a more sensible option than taking a gamble on a foreign import.

Collins has been courted by a number of Championship clubs including Aston Villa, but is still available for a deal, so Darren Moore may be tempted to contact him and acquire his stern defensive services to bolster the Baggies defence.

Jesus Gamez is without a club after he was released from Newcastle in the summer.

The Spanish full-back was signed by Rafael Benitez from Atletico Madrid in the Magpies' promotion campaign and has key experience needed for a promotion fight.

This signing would make sense for Gamez, who was deputy to DeAndre Yedlin for most of last season.

He would be a tidy acquisition to play wing back in Moore’s exciting system.

Karim Ansarifard is available on a free after impressing for Iran in the World Cup, where he was a menace in games against Spain and Portugal and nearly sent Iran through to the knockout stages.

The striker would represent another option for Moore in the attacking department and provide a different dynamic off the bench perhaps.
