Garry Monk hasn't had the best of starts as Leeds United manager, as his side sit in 21st place going into the first international break of the campaign.

Monk is under increasing pressure at Elland Road and a quick up-turn in form is needed if he is to survive past Christmas and see the next transfer window.

On paper Leeds have strengthened well bringing in the likes of Kemar Roofe, Kyle Bartley and Pablo Hernandez but it appears the players are still in need of time to gel together.

This article takes a look at THREE players who are currently on the free agent market that the club could look to bring in.....

Victor Anichebe

One free agent who could make a real difference in the Championship is former Everton and West Brom man Victor Anichebe.

Anichebe has been a free agent since the end of last season when his contract with West Brom expired, after he failed to make a noteworthy impact in the three years he spent at The Hawthorns.

During his three year stint with the Baggies he made 61 appearances, scoring 9 goals.

The Nigerian international is a big strong physical presence upfront and while he has found life difficult in the Premier League, his combination of pace and power would make him a nightmare for any defence in the Championship.

Prior to his time at West Brom, Anichebe spent 9 years at Everton for whom he made over 150 appearances, scoring 26 goals in the process.

Leon Osman

Another free agent who could potentially be on Garry Monk's radar is 35- year-old Leon Osman, the former Everton man has been a free agent since the end of last season, when his contract at Goodison expired.

Barring two brief loan spells with Carlisle United and Derby County in the early stages of his career, Osman has been a one club man having spent 16 seasons with Everton, where he made over 400 senior appearances for the club, scoring 57 goals throughout that time.

The 35-year-old would bring much needed experience into the Leeds United engine room, and could be a very shrewd signing, should Monk look to explore the option of bringing the former England international to Elland Road.

Kieran Richardson

Kieran Richardson is an experienced versatile option that is also available on a free transfer this summer, following his release from Aston Villa.

Richardson would be an experienced option to provide cover at full back for Charlie Taylor, while in the past he has also shown his versatility to play in a number of different positions including left wing, right wing, central midfield and also as an attacking midfielder in the number 10 role.

Richardson started his career at Manchester United for whom he made 41 league appearances, scoring just the 2 goals and since then he has gone onto represent the likes of Sunderland, Fulham, and the England national team for whom he has earned 8 caps, scoring 2 goals which both came during a 2-1 victory over the United States in 2005.
